| Majors/3A Tryouts & Registration Sat., Feb. 13, Santiam Christian High School (Adair Village) (detailed map) Indoor — Large gymnasium and small gymnasium Baseball Ages 8-9....... Check-in at 9:30 am, warmups 9:45 am, evaluations 10:00-11:00 am Age 10.......... Check-in at 10:30 am, warmups 10:45 am, evaluations 11:00 am-12:00 pm Ages 11-12... Check-in at 11:30 am, warmups 11:45 am, evaluations 12:00-1:00 pm Softball Ages 8-12..... Check-in at 1:30 pm, warmups 1:45 pm, evaluations 2:00-4:00 pm Bring a baseball glove and indoor shoes. Bats, helmets, and balls are provided. Registrations for those who haven't signed up yet will run from 9:30 am - 3:00 pm. You may download the proper forms below and bring to one of the tryouts. No tryouts for T-ball and 2A levels. Advanced 8-year-old players are encouraged to attend tryouts with the possibility of being drafted to a 3A team. Tryouts are not mandatory for those 8-year-olds who wish to play at the 2A level (7-8 year-olds) instead of the 3A level (8-10 year-olds).  Makeup Majors/3A Tryouts & Registration Sat., Feb. 20, Santiam Christian High School (Adair Village) Partially outdoors, weather permitting. Indoor portion in small gymnasium. Registration costs: T-ball through 3A - $70; Majors-Juniors - $80. $5 off per additional sibling. All-Star Tournaments Albany Little League had two baseball teams and two softball teams participate in the 2009 Little League All-Star tournament in Salem. The 9-10 year-old baseball and softball teams both brought home two victories in their respective divisions against stiff competition. Congratulations to all the teams on an exciting season. |

Softball
The Albany Riptide majors softball team poses here after its first place finish at a District 7 tournament on April 25-26, 2009. The other majors team from Albany, the Force, finished third. At another tournament in May, the Force came in second and the Riptide were third. The Riptide have gone 21-4 this year.
